What information does PlayboysPlaybook.com collect from our users, and how we do it?

Transparent GIFs are small graphic files with an unique identifier, similar in functionality to cookies, and are used to follow our users’ online movements. The main difference between both of them is that transparent GIFs are invisible in the web page, and are usually smaller, the size of a period at the end of a sentence. Transparent GIFs are not related to your personal information, and just keep track of the traffic and behavior of our visitors.

Transparent GIFs can work together with cookies present in a computer, if they are both from the same website or advertising company. This means, for instance, that if a person visited “www.companyX.com”, which uses a transparent GIF from an advertisement company, the website may match the transparent GIF ID with the advertising company’s cookie D number, to show that computer’s previous behavior. This information can only be shared with the advertising company. Sometimes we provide this information to out third party associates, but this information can only be used for our benefit, and it never includes personally identifiable data.

How do we store your information?

Your information is stored in the mailing list server that sends out the PlayboysPlaybook.com newsletter. Your information can only be accessed by those who administer and manage these lists in order to send email to people who want to receive our newsletter.
